Saylor's Princess Party

Believe this or not but this was Saylor's very first "friend" party. She was so excited. She asked me when her party was going to be for about two months straight. It was a fun, busy, and wild day. Jeremy built an awesome castle for the kids to play in out of cardboard boxes. It took up the entire dining room. The following pictures do not do it justice but here they are anyway. Seriously, Jer did such a good job.

This is the side view-the walls in our apt are kind of weird so this is the best shot from this angle. Michael is peeking out the tower.
It had tunnels and secret passages. It was definitely the highlight of the party. Here is the view from the front-I decorated it more before the party but this is the best shot I could find of the front without kids running blurry through the photo.
Here is her Saylor's royal throne.

And here she is seated in it. She decided mid-party to change out of her princess dress (go figure)

Here is the Dragon they got to slay at the end. Pretty terrifying right?

Here is the group. We spent much of the party in the hallway of our apt. building because I wanted the castle to be a surprise and as an added bonus I did not have messy food fingers running around my apt.
It was a fun day but boy, I am glad it's over!

Autumn forgot to mention that the whole idea for the party was hers and that she made that dragon pinata from scratch. She is awesome.

Ha! How much fun are you? And I can't believe you made the dragon. I love the castle...I'm sure Saylor will be dreaming about this for a long while...

Holy Cow! Will you guys throw my birthday party? Autumn, I know you also made an awesome cake because you always do. Too cool. I wanna grow up to be like you!

Oh Sarah, you are so sweet but for the record I did not make a cute cake. I had no time to put one together so we just did cupcakes. Maybe my cake decorating days are over...until I can actually take a cake decorating class:)

I think your family should go into party planning! Saylor is one lucky girl! How long did the castle actually stay in the dining room?
